REAZALIA ALLEN

ReAzalia Z. Allen, a Baton Rouge Attorney, affectionately known as “Attorney Southernbelle” is a dynamic community leader and attorney in the Greater Baton Rouge Area. ReAzalia is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana where she is a 2008 graduate of Caddo Parish Magnet High School. She fell in love with Baton Rouge, Louisiana at the age of fourteen (14) while attending 4-H University with the LSU AgCenter 4-H Youth Development Program and decided to attend college in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 2012, she received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Louisiana State University and a distinct honor as a Distinguished Communicator. In 2015, she received her Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center. In 2017, she received her Master of Science in Organizational Development from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. The Organizational Development degree curriculum was designed by attorneys and ReAzalia was the first attorney to complete the program at Abilene Christian University.

ReAzalia served as a Senior Staff Attorney at the 19th Judicial District Court in Section 1, Division J, from 2016-2022. Currently, ReAzalia is an Associate Attorney/Brief Writer at Dudley Debosier Injury Lawyers. She is also an Associate Adjunct Professor at Southern University Law Center where she teaches Advanced Legal Writing, Legal Research, Lawyering Process, and Legal Skills in the Summer Pre-Law Program. ReAzalia is known across the legal community for her special skill set of deciphering and solving complex cases in various areas of the law. She is knowledgeable in many areas of the law. She is also a Trademark Attorney where she assists small businesses and brands with branding and intellectual property concerns. In 2021, ReAzalia was selected as the American Bar Associations Top 40 Young Lawyers On the Rise Under 40. This award is one of the highest honors that one could receive as an attorney.

ORGANIZATIONS

In the community, ReAzalia maintains an active presence in numerous organizations. In 2020-2021 she was a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Leadership Class and in 2021-2022, she served as the Co-Chair of the Louisiana State Baton Association’s Leadership Class. ReAzalia is the secretary of the Greater Baton Rouge Chapter of the Louis A. Martinet Legal Society. She is also a member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association where she served as a council member of the Young Lawyers Section and member of the Belly Up With the Bar Committee. She is highly involved and invested in the Pro Bono Project of the Baton Rouge Bar Association where she provides legal services to members of the community on a Pro-Bono basis. She truly has the heart of a servant leader and a person who is selfless. She gives so much of herself to her community and those who are closest to her.

Currently, she is the Louisiana State Secretary of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She is an active member of the Baker-Zachary Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., where she has served as Recording Secretary, Social Action Co-Chair, and Protocol and Traditions Chair. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Tulsa Initiative, Inc., which is a non-profit organization that focuses on entrepreneurship for young men across the nation ages 18-24. She is a member of the Greater Baton Rouge Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and Junior League Baton Rouge.

She has been featured in Accesswire, Yahoo Finance, Yahoo News, Business Insider, and Chron Law for her dedication to her community and overcoming adversities that she has endured as an attorney. She has proven herself to be a solid pillar in this community through her career and community organizations. She has a heart of gold and a love and passion for serving others.
